Main features:
The fruit has a pod indehiscent (does not need cook to eat) has 7 or more centimeters of measure, with a hard shell, and brown-red color. Have two seeds, which the pulp stays around the seed. The pulp is dry, edible and has a strong smell.

The fruit is commercialized in marked, in region where the fruit grows. The pulp is consumed in natural, jelly, liquor, bread, and ice cream. As a medical way, it helps with respiratory, expectorant, vermifuge problems, and stomach pains on the chest and on the back. It can be a stimulant food, also helps with kidney problems. Urinary track, live, intestinal infection and also as a healing.
